The Pokemon gains an electric charge whenever it receives damage, converting a portion of that damage into additional Attack.
Volt Absorb's effect lasts for 4 seconds after triggering. This resets each time Zeraora receives damage.
Since Volt Absorb only triggers when Zeraora receives damage, the Pokemon will have to put itself in a dangerous position just to rack up on damage. To prevent Zeraora from being bursted down quickly, avoid disabling moves as much as possible, then follow up with your moves. This ensures that Volt Absorb is put to good use.
