Dragonite Guide: Builds and Best Items

Dragonite Basic Information

Confirmed to be a Ranged All-Rounder

It is now confirmed that Dragonite is an All-Rounder. It is the first ranged All-Rounder so Dragonite is definitely unique on its own right!

Result: What Role Do You Think Will Dragonite Have?

We ran a poll asking for thoughts on Dragonite's role and 928 users voted for All-Rounder! You guys are on the money!

Dragonite Stats

Balanced Stats

Dragonite is an All-Rounder Pokemon so we can expect that it will have a mix of offensive and defensive stats like other All-Rounders in the roster. Moroever, Dragonite has Dash abilities in its moveset that contributes to its Mobility or Scoring stat.

Dragonite Moves and Ability

Dragonite Character Spotlight

Outrage

Pokemon UNITE - Outrage Dragonite?

The very first move in the Character Spotlight shows Dragonite slamming itself on the ground in rage while hitting a wild Pokemon with repeatedly. This definitely looks like Outrage in the original games.

Additionally, according to the official Holiday Festivities news article, Outrage is part of Dragonite's movepool in UNITE so this might really be it!

Hyper Beam?

Pokemon UNITE - Dragonite Hyper Beam

Another move shown in the Character Spotlight has Dragonite blasting though enemies with a beam on a straight line. This looks like Dragonite's signature move, Hyper Beam in the original games!

Slam? Extreme Speed?

Dragonite - Slam Move

In the Holiday Festivities trailer, Dragonite was shown to dash towards a wild Pokemon and stunning them. This dashing move is reminiscent of either Slam or Extreme Speed - both being part of Dragonite's moveset in the original games.

Unite Move: Draco Impact

Dragonite - Unite Move

The last move in the reveal footage sees Dragonite flying up to the air and dealing damage on an area as it lands down. This move has been confirmed to be Dragon Impact!

Unite Move Demonstration

The official Japanese Unite Twitter account posted a video demonstrating Dragonite's Unite move. It is revealed that the Unite move will have an extremely long range - almost spanning half of the map! However, it is not yet confirmed what the percent numbers mean while targeting the move, though we can speculate that it has something to do with the move's cooldown, since the only place where we see a percentage is the UNITE meter. We will provide information as soon as it is available, so stay tuned!

What do you think the percentages mean?
Let us know in the comments!

Dragon Breath

In the official Holiday Festivities news article, they mentioned Dragon Breath to be officially part of Dragonite's kit in Pokemon UNITE.

We don't think it has been shown in any trailers yet as Dragon-type moves in UNITE tend to have a purple effect when used - similar to Garchomp's Dragon Claw and Dragon Rush. We're excited to see this when Dragonite is out!
