When players are not yet inside a match, they can chat with their friends privately or while waiting in the lobby. This is a guide on how to chat with friends for Pokemon UNITE. Read on to learn the different ways to chat with friends, and the things players can do in chat!
Lobby chat allows everyone inside the lobby to have conversations, even if they are not friends in the game.
|1||Select Unite Battle from the home screen|
|2||Press the - button in the lobby-|
|3||Press the Y button to use Quick chat. Press the X button to type a message.|
Private chats are conversations only between two friends. It is only unlocked if both friends have played 5 or more games together. It is best to invite friends and play together.

|2||Select the friend you want to chat with by pressing the A button, then select Private Chat.|

Text messages have a 50 word limit in chats. Words that are deemed inappropriate are displayed as
***, so it is advised to avoid sending them.
Quick messages are availabe to be used in chats. They are the same phrases used during the picking phase of a match.

Players can also send stickers in chat as a fun form of communication. It is important to note that the stickers available are different for private chats and lobby chats.
