Pokemon UNITE will celebrate its one-year anniversary on July 21, 2022! Read to learn about everything we know so far on UNITE's first year, the anniversary date, the new Pokemon and events for the first phase of UNITE's 1st anniversary!

Pokemon UNITE has celebrated its first anniversary starting July 21, 2022! It will come with new Pokemon, new game modes, and new Battle Pass and Ranked Season rewards. The First Phase ends on September 2 - with the second phase following up immediately!

1st Anniversary Phase 1 Events and Features

Six (6) New Pokemon

A total of six (6) new Pokemon are expected to arrive for both phases of Pokemon UNITE 1st Anniversary.

The first 3 Pokemon arrives starting with Glaceon on the July 21, 2022 while the remaining three arrives on the second phase starting September 2nd!

Get Glaceon for FREE in Icy Glaceon Challenge

Glaceon is also obtainable as an event reward in the Icy Glaceon Challenge, which will start on July 21st and will end on August 14th.

Note: During the event, Glaceon is only obtainable using Aeos Gems. It will then be purchasable using Aeos Coins after the event on August 15th.

New Battle Mode: Boss Rush!

Team up with players and defeat a powerful boss Pokemon in a new quick battle game mode! This will also make use of the UNITE Squad feature so play with your mates and increase your squad's ranking in the leaderboard!

Play as Pikachu, fight against other Pikachu, and take on an arena full of Pikachu in the new game mode called Pika Party!

New Mechanic: Boost Emblems

New tokens called Energy Emblems are also obtainable via the Energy Rewards gacha starting July 21st. Trainers will be able to collect Gold, Silver, and Bronze Emblems and add them in their inventory.

It is still unknown what the Boost Emblems does exactly but according to the trailer, they add a new system to Pokemon UNITE.

Battle Pass Season 9

The Battle Pass Season 8 expired on July 21, 2022, and afterwards would come Battle Pass Season 9!

Like the Battle Pass, Ranked Season 4 has expired on the day of Pokemon Unite's anniversary! It brings a whole new set of rewards for the taking, as well as rank refreshes for the Season 5.
