Can You Play Offline?

Pokemon UNITE is an online game, which means that it always has to be connected to the internet. Online games always need internet connection to work properly.

Will There Be Offline Play?

Because Pokemon UNITE is an online game, it is most likely that there won't be any offline play. Although, there is no official news about Pokemon UNITE having offline play. If any news about offline play is released, visit this page again for an update.

Single Player Options

Players looking for an offline play often do because they want to play the game but not against other players. Although the game still needs to be online, there are still ways to enjoy the game without starting a match with other players.

Play Against CPUs

CPU match
Players can choose to play against computer controlled teammates or enemies via CPU Match in Standard Battles.
Match Types: CPU, Random, and Friendly Match

Practice Area

Select Practice Area.png
Practice Area lets players to pick any Pokemon (not just what they own) to do a 1v1 battle against a computer-controlled enemy. Players have access to the Practice Options which offer great options for practicing during the battle. To access the Practice Options, press the + button. Using Practice Area is a great way to test out strategies for Pokemon.

Important Practice Options
Option Description
+1 Level Increases the level of either your Pokemon or the enemy.
Invincible Prevents Pokemon from dying.
Move Cooldowns Removes your Pokemon's move cooldowns.
Attacks On/Off Disables the enemy Pokemon from attacking.
Wild Pokemon Enables or disables Wild Pokemon from appearing.

How to Use the Training Mode

Complete the Tutorials

Choose a Tutorial.png
At the start of the game, players must finish 2 basic tutorials before they can proceed to the main game. However, there are actually 6 tutorials in the game. Players can complete the remaining 4 advanced tutorials at anytime. Once completed, these tutorials can be replayed endlessly.

1 Select Practice.pngIn the main menu screen, press the X button to open a menu, then select Practice.

3 Choose a Tutorial.pngSelect which tutorial you want to play.
4 Start Tutorial.pngWhen prompted, select Yes to begin tutorial.
