This Pokemon deals additional damage to opposing Pokemon that have an active shield effect. Each time this Pokemon hits Pokemon from the opposing team with moves or boosted basic attacks, its hammer becomes stronger and its Attack increases up (up to 60 times maximum). Also, after the hammer is strengthened 20, 40, annd 60 times, Rock Smash, Gigaton Hammer, and Smack Down power up.
Tinkaton's strength will come primarily from its ability, Mold Breaker. Each time Tinkaton hits opponents with moves or boosted basic attacks, its hammer becomes stronger and its Attack increases, improving the Pokemon's overall damage potential. With this in mind, it's important to build up Mold Breaker stacks early on to maximize Tinkaton's damage output.
Prior to level 5, keep using Fairy Wind and Rock Smash on opponents whenever there's a chance but make sure not to overextend to prevent Tinkaton from being underleveled.
| Move | Power Up |
|---|---|
| Rock Smash | Larger area of effect |
| Gigaton Hammer | Larger area of effect |
| Smack Down | Longer range |
When Tinkaton has 20, 40, and 60 stacks of Mold Breaker, Rock Smash, Gigaton Hammer, and Smack Down's effects improves. Make sure to utilize this effect to make them more effective.
Mold Breaker also allows Tinkaton to deal increased damage against opponents that have an active shield. Take advantage of this effect and use the shields opponents have against themselves.
