Goodra Joins the Roster on March 16, 2023

As announced, Goodra arrived in Aeos Island on March 16, 2023! It is the newest Defender Pokemon since Trevenant was released more than a year ago!

Goodra Basic Information

Confirmed to be a Defender

With Goodra's absurdly high Sp. Defense stat, it can definitely soak up a lot of damage especially from Attackers than scales off Sp. Attack. This is a trait of a Defender, ready to soak up hits for their allies at all cost.

Goodra will have a high Endurance stat, which means the Pokemon will have a high Sp. Defense, Defense, and/or HP values!

Passive: Gooey

Below is the translation for the boxed item in the image above.

When attacked, Goodra has a chance to scatter gooey liquid that slows and damages enemies. The slow effect can stack up to 4 times. When entering grass, Goodra can also gradually recover HP. A cooldown is required to activate the HP recovery effect the next time.

Power Whip

Goodra lashes out in a certain direction, dealing damage and decreasing the movement speed of an opposing Pokemon.

If the opponent is far enough, the enemy is pulled towards Goodra. The pulling motion also leaves the enemy stunned for a short time.

Muddy Water

Goodra sends out a wave of murky water in an area around it. This move temporarily decreases the damage of anyone hit!

Dragon Pulse

Goodra unleashes a shockwave in a designated direction. Aiming just right will deal increased damage and will also restore Goodra's HP!

Acid Spray

Goodra lets out an orb of acid that marks a an opponent. Goodra can then jump towards that enemy to make the orb explode, knocking them up for a short time!

Unite Move: Right as Rain

Goodra causes a rain to fall around itself, gradually restoring its HP. While the move is active, all of Goodra's basic attacks become boosted attacks!

I honestly can't wait until they release Shuckle. All this Attack/Sp. Attack speed tank nonsense is literal trash. Make a tank that is HIGH AF in Health + def + sp. Def and 0 attack/sp. attack for all I care. We just want real tanks, not this bruiser nonsense. All I want is to be a meat shield. Idc if I lose 1000 games in a row. I want a tank who is pure Health, def and Sp. Def. A REAL tank. With a shield ability.
