Pokemon UNITE has been released for mobile devices! Read on to learn the key differences between the Mobile and Switch versions, how they affect the player's experience as well as which version is better.

What's Different in Mobile?

Graphical User Interface

Mobile Difference - Graphical User Interface.png

The layout of controls is displayed differently in the mobile version compared to the Nintendo Switch version. Much of the interface is compressed to the right side of the screen to suit the mobile game experience, causing some screen obstruction for players.

Aside from the controls layout during matches, there are a lot of noticeable differences in the interface between the mobile and the Nintendo Switch versions, such as the select screen interface in Practice Area.

In-Game Comparison

Vision is Wider

Players can see a wider area around them in the mobile version. This is most likely to compensate for the controls layout which obstructs a player's vision.

Graphics

The graphics in the mobile version is less detailed than the Nintendo Switch version. Players may notice that shadows are different in mobile version compared to Nintendo Switch.

The graphics quality in the mobile version may depend on the device's specs, specifically the GPU.

Which Version is Better?

Which Version We (Game8 Team) Think is Better

As of now, the team is leaning more towards the NIntendo Switch version. A major factor to the team's decision is the controls during battles. The team finds the control much harder in mobile than in Switch.
