Groudon has replaced Rayquaza as the boss in Theia Sky Ruins!
Groudon Guide: How to Steal and Buffs

Defeating Groudon grants Pokemon a massive Attack boost and increases their goal-scoring speed!

However, when a Pokemon with Groudon's buff get knocked out by an opposing Pokemon, the buff will be transferred to that Pokemon, which is a game-changing mechanic!
The timing and placement of Wild Pokemon in the early game will also change to give more room for Pokemon to level up and to encourage both teams to be more active during gameplay.
After a certain amount of time passes, Regidrago will now spawn in the central area. The Pokemon that defeats Regidrago will gain a temporary goal-scoring speed increase buff.
Additionally, once Regidrago is defeated, either it will respawn, or a swarm of Altaria and Swablu will appear in its place.
Regidrago Guide: How to Steal and Buffs
At the 3-minute mark, the Regis will appear on the top and bottom lanes. Previously, Regieleki always appeared at the top. Now, on the Groudon map, the spawn locations for Regieleki, Registeel, Regice, and Regirock will be randomized in each match!
The amount of points required to break the goal zones have been adjusted. The top front goal will now require less points to break, while the bottom front goal will require more.

Theia Sky Ruins is the NEW main map of Pokemon UNITE from September 2, 2022 - replacing Remoat Stadium - which is used for both the Ranked, and Standard Battles.
| Number of Players | 5v5 |
|---|---|
| Match Type | Ranked and Standard Battles |
Being the replacement for Remoat Stadium, Theia Sky Ruins can host 2 teams of 5 people each for a head-to-head battle.
| Match Length | 10 Minutes |
|---|---|
| Wild Pokemon Evolution | 2 Minutes Left |
Since the map will replace Remoat Stadium for both Standard and Ranked Battles, the match time remains at 10 minutes. Players can expect Wild Pokemon to start evolving when there's only 2 minutes left.

Theia Sky Ruins has a total of 5 Goal Zones per team, consisting of 4 outer Goal Zones (marked as A & B on the image above), and 1 Base Goal Zone (marked as C).
Standing underneath these Goal Zones will give you a small shield and also slowly heal your Pokemon.
Each team will have 4 outer Goal Zones. Only the outer Goal Zones have a set amount of HP before they are destroyed
| Active Goal Zones |

![]() |
You can only score points in Active Goal Zones, which will be highlighted on your minimap.
Destroying an Active Goal Zone will let you score points on the Next Goal Zone.
| Base Goal Zone |
|---|
![]() |
Base Goal Zones are located right outside the respawn area.
You can only start scoring points here if you've destroyed all the Goal Zones on a path or lane. Base Goal Zones cannot be destroyed.
| Double Points at 2 Minutes Left |
|---|
![]() |
When there is only two minutes left in the game, any points scored in a Goal Zone will be doubled.
Take this opportunity to steal the game by waiting and stacking points before the 2 minute mark!
| Team Speed Lane Buff |
|---|
![]() |
Each lane leading to an outer Goal Zone will give a speed boost to the allied Pokemon standing on it, indicated by blue streaks of light on the Pokemon.
This speed buff will disappear if the Outer Goal Zone leading to it gets destroyed.
| Enemy Speed Lane Debuff |

Being in the Enemy Speed Lane will reduce your movement speed, indicated by an orange circle around your Pokemon.
This will also expose your character to the enemy team, indicated by the pink eye icon on top of your Pokemon.

Theia Sky Ruins also has Berries scattered around that can give buffs or heal Pokemon that pick them up.
As of version 1.7.1.5, there are now two Sitrus (Yellow) Berries at both the top and bottom lanes.

| Jump Pad Locations | |
|---|---|

|
Like in Remoat Stadium, there are four Jump pads found in Theia Sky Ruins. Standing on these jump pads will propel a Pokemon to fixed locations on the map!

| Super Jump Pad Interaction |
|---|
![]() |
Theia Sky Ruins has a Super Jump pad that spawns at each team's base five (5) minutes into the game.
Pokemon can use this to travel to key positions on the map to get back into the fight.

Your base will have a shield that will prevent any attacks and enemy Pokemon from getting inside.
The base will increase your defenses and will constantly heal you until you're back to full. Respawning will let your Pokemon be invulnerable for a short time.
| Spawn Location |

| Alternate Spawn Location |

• Altaria/Swablu spawns in lane behind destroyed goal zones. • Altaria/Swablu or Regidrago in the Jungle will spawn in the Legendary Pit before the 2:00 mark, when it would be replaced by Groudon. • Indeedee on the lane sideskirts would start spawning if the first goal zone for that lane is destroyed. • Baltoy in the jungle near lane would spawn if the first goal zone for that lane is destroyed. |
Alternate Locations become a Wild Pokemon's Spawn Point after certain conditions are met in the game (like having goal posts destroyed, etc.)

With points being tied to defeating Wild Pokemon, knowing when they're spawning can give you an edge over the enemy team.
Knowing spawn timings helps you rotate around the map more accurately and make better decisions based on them.
List of Wild Pokemon and Spawn Times
All scores are doubled during the last two (2) minutes of the match. Take advantage of this mechanic by collecting as many Aeos Energy as you can before the 2:00 minute mark, then finding a way to score them.
Groudon will also appear in the final 2 minutes of the game. Make it a point to take this Pokemon as it will provide the last hitter with points and the whole team with buff that increases scoring speed and damage, and provides you with a shield!
|
|
Defeating Regirock, Regice, and Registeel at the bottom lane gives your team an advantage thanks to their temporary buffs. This can either maintain your team's lead or allow you to catch up when you're behind. Take note though that the three Regis spawns at random and provides different buffs so choose your battles carefully!
|
|
|
|
On the other hand, taking out Regieleki puts pressure on the enemy's top lane, forcing them to rotate to that lane and defend their goal zone before Regieleki reaches it. If they fail to defend it and Regieleki reaches their goal zone, make sure to capitalize on it by scoring as many points as you can while the goal zone is defenseless.
|
|
Additionally, taking Regidrago can give your team an EXP. advantage in the early game. Its buff gives the bearer increased goal-scoring speed, which can be great for Pokemon with maxed points.
