Has the user charge forward on a wave, shoving opposing Pokemon and leaving them unable to act. The user gains a shield and becomes immune to hindrances while using this move. At the end of this move, the user can jump in a designated direction and becomes immune to hindrances for a short time.
At the end of Surf's animation, Mew jumps off the wave. You can choose the jump-off direction simply by moving the L analog stick when the move ends. To make it easier, you can just hold the L analog stick to the direction you want during the move's animation. You don't need to time it when the move ends.
This tactic is useful when you want to prevent enemies from chasing you or your allies. Just move the L analog stick to the opposite direction of the enemy.
To make the most out of Surf, you need to get a good position first before using it since you'll drag targets along with you. If the enemy is escaping, get in front of them then cast Surf towards their direction, cutting off their escape path.
You can use Agility to help you get into position quickly and use Surf.
Agility: Mew Move Effect and Cooldown
Use Surf to push wild Pokemon towards your side of the map or your allies, making it easier to secure them and preventing enemies from taking them.
You gain a shield and immunity from hindrances when and after using Surf. Use it to initiate fights or escape bad situations.
Casting Surf through Light Screen improves its overall effect. If you're using Light Screen, always use it before Surf to trigger the bonus effects.
