| Move | Explanation |
|---|---|
Thunder Punch
|
Thunder Punch is a strong burst damage move that's also great for farming. |
Volt Switch
|
Volt Switch greatly improves Pawmot's mobility and allows the Pokemon to easily set up Thunder Punch. |
This moveset is a strong combination of mobility and damage, making Pawmot more cunning and lethal.
Thunder Punch deals a lot of damage in a cone. It's also a great farming tool. Volt Switch gives Pawmot Speedster-like mobility and allows the Pokemon to easily set up Thunder Punch.
Let us know why in the comments!
Pawmot's power spike starts when it gets Thunder Punch or Supercell Slam. It's best to focus on getting Pawmot to level 5 as quickly as possible in the early game.
Each time Pawmot uses a move, its next basic attack deals increased damage and restores the Pokemon's HP. Take advantage of these powerful effects as you fight opponents. A good strategy is to attack each time you use a move to maximize the damage Pawmot deals.
Iron Fist: Pawmot Passive Effect and Cooldown
When using Thunder Punch, try to get a good angle to use the move since it deals damage in a cone in the designated direction. You can use Eject Button, or any of Pawmot's dash moves to get into position to use Thunder Punch. Ideally, you'd want to hit multiple enemies with a single punch.
Thunder Punch: Pawmot Move Effect and Cooldown
Mach Punch's cooldown reduces each time Pawmot attacks an opponent. You can potentially keep spamming Mach Punch to knock out your targets so long as you manage to reduce its cooldown quickly. This can be a great way to control fights in your favor.
Mach Punch: Pawmot Move Effect and Cooldown
After using Zip Zap Full-Charge Spark, Pawmot enters Fighter Mode. During Fighter Mode, its moves' effects change, so you need to adjust your gameplay a bit to make use of the changes.
Zip Zap Full-Charge Spark: Pawmot Move Effect and Cooldown
Zip Zap Full-Charge Spark doesn't have a set cooldown. Instead, you need to hit opponents with attacks or moves to charge it again.
| Volt Punch Combo | |
|---|---|
| Initiate by dashing in with Volt Switch, then immediately follow up with Thunder Punch. Use Volt Switch again to either retreat or push the offense. You can use your UNITE Move after the second Volt Switch if needed for more damage. | |
| Mach Dive Beatdown Combo | |
|---|---|
| Start the combo with Supercell Slam, then follow up with Mach Punch. Use Supercell Slam's second activation to deal more damage, then keep attacking the targets to quickly bring down Mach Punch's cooldown. You can do this endlessly so long as you attack opponents and keep using Mach Punch. | |
| Matchup Notes | ||
|---|---|---|
| 1. The chart is based on our own experience playing Pawmot. 2. Pokemon within each tier are unordered 3. Any Pokemon not shown here are still under investigation. |
||
Pawmot relies mostly on its moves to take out targets. Pokemon with strong disabling moves can completely stop Pawmot from doing its combos.

| Ranged, Fragile Pokemon with High Damage |
|---|
| How to Beat |
|
• These Pokemon prefer to keep their distance from opponents when fighting. They also have high damage potential that can be dangerous for Pawmot. • Use Volt Switch or Supercell Slam to get close to them, then follow up with Thunder Punch or Mach Punch. • As a last resort, use Zip Zap Full-Charge Spark to either initiate or finish them off. |
| All-Rounders |
|---|
| How to Beat |
|
• Much like Pawmot, these Pokemon excel in close combat and rely mostly on their attacks or combos to deal damage. They are also durable enough to tank Pawmot's damage. • Utilize Mach Punch's cooldown reduction and stun, Supercell Slam's second activation, and Zip Zap Full-Charge Spark's effects. |
| Speedster |
|---|
| How to Beat |
|
• These Pokemon are incredibly agile and deal high burst damage. However, they become vulnerable when they miss their burst damage attempt. • Use Volt Switch to dodge their moves, or use Mach Punch or Zip Zap Full-Charge Spark to strike first and intercept them. • Follow up with Thunder Punch to burst them down. |
| Highly Durable Pokemon |
|---|
| How to Beat |
|
• These Pokemon are extremely durable, making it hard for Pawmot to take them out alone. With that, it's best to group up with allies to bring them down with the help of Pawmot. • Use dash moves to stay on top of them and chip away their HP. |
These Pokemon are easy targets for Pawmot and fall quickly to its combos.
