Decorate shields and improves the target ally's basic attack damage. |
![]() |
Dazzling Gleam has great synergy with Decorate, allowing the move's effect to also trigger on the shielded ally. |
This moveset provides both offense and defense to allies and has a strong synergy.
Decorate shields the target ally, mitigating the damage it receives, and also boost its offense by allowing it to deal additional damage when it uses its basic attacks.
Dazzling Gleam deals a decent amount of damage and stuns opponents. It also has great synergy with Decorate as Dazzling Gleam can trigger on the shielded ally, doubling Dazzling Gleam's damage.
Let us know why in the comments!
Alcremie's core gameplay as a Supporter is to provide assistance to its allies using its moves. With this in mind, it's best for Alcremie to always stay with its allies and avoid wandering off alone.
Additionally, Alcremie's kit is designed to ensure the Pokemon always stays with its allies throughout the game. Although Alcremie can use Helping Hand, Decorate, or Recover on itself, the moves will have more impact if they're used on allies.
Alcremie's ability, Aroma Veil, allows the Pokemon to remove hindrances on an ally when it buffs or shields it. This is a strong mechanic that the Pokemon should utilize to save allies from getting knocked out, especially during important teamfights.
Moreover, since the effect goes on cooldown after it's triggered, it's best for Alcremie to trigger it during crucial moments.
Aroma Veil: Alcremie Passive Effect and Cooldown
Alcremie's gameplay will revolve around filling up and utilizing the effects of its Sweet gauge, which the Pokemon gains only at level 4.
The sweet gauge fills up when Alcremie hits enemies with Charm, Dazzling Gleam, or Sweet Scent.
The sweet gauge is used up when Alcremie casts Decorate or Recover, improving the move's effects.
Aside from improving Decorate or Recover's effects, one neat trick Alcremie can do with its sweet gauge is to fill it up when the move is on cooldown. Since the move becomes an enhanced version when the sweet gauge is filled up, its cooldown will actually reset, allowing Alcremie to use the move again instantly.
This tactic essentially gives Alcremie a free charge for Decorate or Recover.

When using Dazzling Gleam, Alcremie can move around while charging the move. However, the Pokemon's facing angle is fixed to the direction of the move.
Alcremie should utilize this mechanic to maximize the move's damage and effect.
Dazzling Gleam: Alcremie Move Effect and Cooldown
Fluffy Cream Supreme grants Alcremie a shield and sends out whipped cream to nearby allies, healing them and temporarily increasing their max HP. The move ends when shield is destroyed or when the move is used again.
Given the mechanics of the Fluffy Cream Supreme, Alcremie needs to find strategic spots during fights to use the move, such as behind allies for a defensive spot or in the middle of the fight to distract opponents.
Fluffy Cream Supreme: Alcremie Move Effect and Cooldown
Decorate/Recover Free Charge Trick | |
---|---|
Before starting the combo, make sure to fill up the sweet gauge to a point where it will maxed out with one hit from Dazzling Gleam or Sweet Scent.
After that, use Decorate or Recover first, then while the move is on cooldown, use Dazzlinng Gleam or Sweet Scent to fill up the sweet guage. Once the guage fills up, Decorate or Recover will be enhanced, and its cooldown will have reset. Once the move becomes available, use it again. |

1. The chart is based on our own experience playing Alcremie. 2. Pokemon within each tier are unordered 3. Any Pokemon not shown here are still under investigation. |
Alcremie excels in supporting its allies while keeping itself safe behind them. Pokemon that can quickly get to Alcremie and burst it down will make short work of it due to its low durability. Moreover, Pokemon that can isolate Alcremie with hard disabling moves are also great counters.
Pokemon | Explanation |
---|---|
![]() |
Rating: ★★★★★ • Can safely and quickly get close to Alcremie and burst it down using Fly or Brave Bird. |
![]() |
Rating: ★★★★★ • Can lock down Alcremie and take it out quickly using Play With Me... and Play Rough. |
![]() |
Rating: ★★★ • Can continuously freeze and burst down Alcremie with Blizzard and Avalanche. |
Consistently buffing or healing allies while disabling opponents using moves will give the Pokemon the upper hand during fights.
Ranged, Fragile Pokemon with High Damage |
---|
How to Beat |
• These Pokemon prefer to keep their distance from opponents when fighting. They also have high damage potential that can be dangerous for Alcremie. • Use Decorate on allies to shield them and improve their damage output and deal with the opponent quickly. • Stun or Slow them using Dazzling Gleam or Sweet Scent, respectively, to help out allies. |
All-Rounders |
---|
How to Beat |
• These Pokemon excel in close combat and rely mostly on their attacks or combos to deal damage. They are also durable enough to tank Alcremie's damage. • Disrupt their attacks or combos by slowing or stunning them using Sweet Scent or Dazzling Gleam, respectively. • Buff or Heal allies using Decorate or Recover and allow them to deal with the opponent. |
Highly Durable Pokemon |
---|
How to Beat |
• These Pokemon are extremely durable, making it hard for Alcremie to take them out alone. With that, it's best to group up with allies to bring them down with the help of Alcremie. • Buff or Heal allies using Decorate or Recover and allow them to deal with the opponent. • Stun or Slow them using Dazzling Gleam or Sweet Scent, respectively, to help out allies. |
Supporters |
---|
How to Beat |
• These Pokemon have essentially the same gameplay as Alcremie. They always stick with their allies and support them in fights. They also don't do much fighting and just let their allies deal majority of the damage. The only way for Alcremie to get the upper hand against them is to be strategic in supporting. • Keep using Decorate or Recover to support allies. • Use Dazzling Gleam or Sweet Scent to stun or slow opponents and fill up Alcremie's Sweet gauge. • Use Fluffy Cream Supreme when necessary to keep allies alive. |
