Urshifu punches its way as Season 8's MVP! The impact that Urshifu had was above and beyond its expectations when it was first released. It's been dominating games with its incredibly high burst damage via Wicked Blow. Even high-durability Pokemon can feel the devastation of Urshifu's damage. It's argubly the best Pokemon there is in the game right now!

Snorlax takes the mantle of Season 8's MIP! The Defense and Sp. Defense stat increase during Block definitely improved the Pokemon's tanking capabilities despite how simple it is. The Pokemon has also seen a steady increase in usage throughout the season and has been performing remarkably.

Game8 chose Mew as Season 8's best Attacker. Mew maintained a high percentage of usage in ranked games despite getting a slew of nerfs. It's also one of the most banned Pokemon in tournaments. It's proving just how valuable its ability to change its moves freely is to the meta.

Game8 chose Dodrio as Season 8's best Speedster. Dodrio also retained a considerable high percentage of usage in ranked games even after getting nerfed. Its run-and-score gameplay proves to be a game-winning formula in a damage-oriented meta both in casual and competitive games. The ability to outrun virtually all Pokemon makes it such a fun Pokemon to play.

Game8 chose Urshifu as Season 8's best All-Rounder. Urshifu is argubly the most fearsome Pokemon in the game as of the season. It is the quintessential All-Rounder, having above average durability, decent mobility, versitile playstyles, and high damage potential. It can fit in any team composition with no issues and will always have a significant impact in the game. Its ability to deal insane amounts of damage and instantly knocking out most Pokemon in a single move, thanks to Wicked Blow, is just too effective in carrying games.

Game8 chose Snorlax as Season 8's best Defender. Snorlax is no stranger to being the best Defender of a season, having won the title multiple times in the past. It goes without saying that the Pokemon is the quintessential Defender. It has the best stats among its fellow Defenders and one of the best in general. It has a simple yet reliable arsenal of disabling moves that are great offensively and defensively. Its best asset is perhaps its ability to push or displace enemies using Block, which is the most effective way to prevent scoring.

Game8 chose Sableye as Season 8's best Supporter. Sableye's unique and quirky gameplay is a nuisance to the methodical meta. Its ability to remain invisible for most of the match gives the Pokemon more freedom to roam and make plays compared to others. It can ambush opponents for a gank or simply to annoy them. It can also easily sneak pass opponents, score points, then escape unharmed, which is its trademark playstyle. The Pokemon will most likely be causing chaos in games for a long time since there is still no direct counter to Pokemon with invisibility.

Game8 has chosen these two as Season 8's best holowears. These holowears are definitely unique and suits their respective Pokemon well. They are creative and are not simply recycled and recolored.

Game8 chose Urshifu as Season 8's best Newcomer. Urshifu's release was a great way to start season 8. It went above and beyond its expectations due to how ridiculously powerful its Single Strike Style is. The damage it deals with Wicked Blow breaks even the most durable Pokemon, making it one of the most menacing Pokemon of the season. The Pokemon makes carrying games all too easy, which only few Pokemon can do.

Prioritizing the top lane has long been the strategy in most games. This is due to having an advantageous position when taking Regieleki. But recently, the bottom lane has been given the same or more significance than the top lane. The motive for this is similar to the top lane, but its emphasis is more towards the buffs and EXP that Regice, Regirock, or Registeel gives. Gaining more EXP and having the buffs gives a team a huge power advantage during teamfights, which they can leverage on as the game progresses.
