Has the user leap forward while kicking. If this move makes contact with an opposing Pokemon or obstacle, the user leaps over it and stomps the ground when it lands, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon in the area of effect and decreasing their movement speed for a short time. If this move makes contact with an opposing Pokemon or obstacle, the user's sprint gauge charges. If this move makes contact with an opposing Pokemon, its cooldown is reduced.
Jump Kick will only be effective if you manage to make contact with an enemy or an object, otherwise, the move won't do anything. To avoid wasting the move, make sure you're at least at within the move's range before using it on an enemy or object. This also ensures that you'll charge the Sprint gauge.
Using Jump Kick on an opponent will reduce its cooldown, allowing you to use it more frequently.
Since Jump Kick charges the Sprint gauge when you hit an enemy or object, you can use it to set up for Tri Attack or Drill Peck while also filling up the Sprint gauge, allowing you to trigger their bonus effects immediately after using Jump Kick.
You can choose where to land after jumping off the enemy or object. You simply move the joystick or on-screen D-pad towards the direction where you want to land.
You can Jump Kick on walls to traverse them, just make sure you move the joystick or on-screen D-pad towards the wall's direction to ensure you'll move past it.
