Mega Mewtwo Y takes the throne as Season 14's MVP! The Pokemon achieved far beyond what Mega Mewtwo X ever did in terms of sheer strength and dominance over the game. Blaziken is Season 14's MIP! The Pokemon fell short in terms of its impact in the game despite having great potential when it was released. Its damage output was just too weak to compensate for its high skill requirement, leaving the Pokemon unplayable. However, the buffs it received in the 126.96.36.199 Update gave the Pokemon exactly what it needed to make up for the skill requirement. Although the update happened near the end of the season, its significance for Blaziken is definitely worth mentioning.

Game8 chose Mega Mewtwo Y as Season 14's best Attacker. Mega Mewtwo Y continues to dominate the meta, particularly as an Attacker, even after receiving nerfs. It has the most complete kit compared to other Attackers, having a great mix of damage, mobility, and utility. It's also incredibly easy to play and master.
Game8 chose Leafeon as Season 14's best Speedster. Leafeon continues to show its value as a Speedster. Its speed, burst damage, scaling, and versatility remains to be unchallenged by other Speedsters.
Game8 chose Zacian as Season 14's best All-Rounder. Zacian slowly made its way to the top of the meta again after falling off hard due to the nerfs it received in the 188.8.131.52 Update. The Pokemon was also consistently one of the top picks in ranked matches for the entire season. Despite being in a weaker state compared to when it was released, the Pokemon's damage output remains just as scary.
Game8 chose Umbreon as Season 14's best Defender. Umbreon continues to dominate the Defender role. The value the Pokemon gives to its team via its crowd control move, durability, and sustainability is higly sought after.
Game8 chose Blissey as Season 14's best Supporter. In the meta dominated and dictated by Mega Mewtwo Y, Blissey proved to be the best supporter in the game, particularly as a hard support to Mega Mewtwo Y. Its ability to heal, shield, and buff its allies improves the gameplay of just abou any Pokemon tremendously, particularly Mega Mewtwo Y.

Game8 chose Blaziken as Season 14's best Newcomer. Blaziken was one of the most requested and anticipated Pokemon in the game. Despite being not well received, the Pokemon managed to finally gain a foothold in the meta thanks to the much-needed buffs it received in the 184.108.40.206 Update. This fixed the performance issues Blaziken had from the beginning that was undermining the Pokemon's potential. With the much-deserved buffs, the Pokemon's high skill, combo-based gameplay became more rewarding for players.
The meta this season was dictated and dominated by Mega Mewtwo Y. There has never been a Pokemon in the history of the game that made such a devastating impact in the meta in the same magnitude as Mega Mewtwo Y did. The Pokemon pratically broke the entire game just because of how strong it is and how easy it is to use.
