How to Use Barrier

Utilize the Shield to Fill Up the Mega Gauge

Utilize the shield from Barrier to protect Mewtwo Y from damage while it attacks opponents and fill up the Mega gauge. This strategy is a great way to apply pressure in the early game while making the Pokemon stronger.

Use Defensively

Use Barrier to buy Mewtwo Y time when retreating to safety. The shield coupled with the movement speed increase should be more than enough to allow Mewtwo Y to escape in the early game.
