YES It'd be awesome, and knowing the fact that there's already (I forgot their names) The fairy type, grass, dark, and psychic types in the game, adding the fire, water, and electric types would be awesome :)
What would be cool is having the other 3 Eevee Evolutions......Or Even Entei, Raikou, Suicune.....Even maybe Zamazenta
I know right? Altaria is my favorite pokemon and having it as a playable character would be AWESOME!
Altaria would be an excellent pokemon in the all rounder category, however, due to it being a flying type, Altaria would be weak against rock type, electric types, and ice types, also, Altaria is a popular pokemon many fans love, although it may be considered exp on the sky ruins map, we'd LOVE to see Altaria be a playable character with its own stats, pros and cons!

Yes because Swablu is just a normal/flying type, but then can evolve into a dragon flying type.
overall, I personally feel like Altaria would be a GREAT all rounder in the all rounder category.

Altaria, don't get me wrong, but although it's already in the game as a experience farm (EXP farm) It's one of the few Pokemon that's unique in the Pokemon world, able to mega evolve into dragon/fairy unlike its base form, dragon/flying, although that also means adding swablu, altaria’s pre evolution stage, it'd be a cool playable character even if its already in the game. I listed the feats and stats below [I can't seem to find stats for swablu, so here's altaria's] :)
