Perish Song Effect
Has the user sing an eerie melody that echoes around it, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon it hits. This move can be used up to three times consecutively within a set time, and opposing Pokemon hit all three times take additional damage. Opposing Pokemon that take this additional damage will be knocked out if their HP falls below a set percentage of their max HP.
How to Use Perish Song
Utilize the Instant Knockout Effect
Perish Song's instant knockout effect makes Lapras a looming threat in the battlefield. This effect allows Lapras to get aggressive and pressure its opponents into panic.
Hit Targets with All Three Pulses
One way of quickly depleting the opponent's HP low enough to trigger the instant knockout effect is by hitting them with all three pulses of Perish Song. This is because enemies hit by all three pulses take additional damage.
Utilize the Time Window Between Each Pulse
Another way of lowering the opponent's HP to trigger the instant knockout effect is by utilizing the time window between each pulse to attack and/or use Lapras' other moves.
Always Use the Boosted Attack Reset
Once upgraded, always follow up with a Boosted Attack after each pulse of Perish Song. Since using Perish Song makes Lapras' next attack a Boosted Attack, it's best to utilize that Boosted Attack to recover some HP and keep Lapras alive. It can also help in lowering a target's HP for the move's instant knockout effect.
