Has the user dive underwater, where it can't attack or be targeted by opposing Pokemon. When this move is used again, the user leaps up forcefully and attacks. If the user stays underwater for a set amount of time, it creates a whirlpool where it surfaces, applying a continuous slowing effect to opposing Pokemon it hits. If the user stays underwater for an even longer amount of time, it creates a waterspout where it surfaces, throwing opposing Pokemon it hits.
After using Dragon Current, the Pokemon gains the following buff(s) for a few seconds:

Dragon Current is a great way to start fights and give Gyarados' team a nice advantage to win it. Since Gyarados gains invincibility while it's submerged during Dragon Current, it can easily and safely get close to opponents and set up for its allies.
It's best to wait until the third bar is filled up before resurfacing. Doing so creates a large waterspout on Gyarados' position that knocks up opponents and deals a ton of damage.
Walls on the map or created by opponents can block Gyarados' movement during Dragon Current, so it's best to go around them.
