Has the user unleash a shock wave in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon it hits. If the center of the shock wave hits opposing Pokemon, it deals increased damage to them and restores the user's HP. HP is also restored when this move deals damage to opposing Pokemon that have a Gooey slowing effect applied to them.
Use Dragon Pulse to quickly farm wild Pokemon, especially the Altaria and Swablu camps. The move's damage is decent enough to use it as a finisher.
Hitting enemies at the center of the beam heals Goodra for a significant amount. Utilize this effect to allow Goodra to stay alive longer in fights.
Since Dragon Pulse's range is relatively short, the best way to ensure that the move will hit enemies is by using Acid Spray first. Use Acid Spray's dash to quickly get close to a target and disable it, then immediately follow up with Dragon Pulse.
If Goodra does not have Acid Spray yet, using Tackle can also work to set up Dragon Pulse.
| 1.9.2.8 | A base amount of HP recovery was added for Dragon Pulse. |
