How to Get Xerneas

Pokemon Legends Z-A - Xerneas Encounter

Players need to complete the main story and unlock the Infinite Z-A Royale. After participating in one Reward Battle, return to Hotel Z and speak to L to start The One that Gives.

To complete The One That Gives, head to Mable's Lab and speak to her. She will tell you about the Pokemon Xerneas, before sending you off to capture or defeat Alpha Pokemon in Wild Zones 3, 5, and 9.

Xerneas can be found in Wild Zone 11 roaming around the area. If you fail to catch it, you can always leave the area and return to restart the encounter.

How to Get Yveltal

Pokemon Legends Z-A - Yveltal Encounter

Players need to complete the main story and unlock the Infinite Z-A Royale. After participating in one Reward Battle, return to Hotel Z and speak to L to start The One that Takes.

Unlock the Yveltal encounter by travelling to the Nouveau Cafe and speaking with Grisham and Griselle. They will tell you to meet them at Quasartico Inc., where Vinnie will ask you to defeat three Rogue Mega Pokemon in the Rogue Mega Evolution Simulator 3000.

Once the training is over, head over to the rooftop of Rouge Sector 2 and glide to the dome. Interact with the center to trigger the Yveltal encounter. If you fail to catch Yveltal, you can always leave the area and return to restart the encounter.

How to Get Zygarde

Catching Zygarde

Players need to have both Xerneas and Yveltal to unlock the quest to catch Zygarde. After catching both Legendary Pokemon, return to Hotel Z and L will approach you, starting To Keep the World in Balance. Defeat him in battle and Zygarde will lead you to the tower.

Look for Zygarde in Wild Zone 20, and battle it. Once you defeat Zygarde, L will tell you that it has recognized your strength. Throw any Poke Ball and it will be a guaranteed capture.

Similar to Rogue Mega Battles

The Zygarde battle works similarly to Rogue Mega Pokemon Battles. You will be in a stadium with Zygarde, with it switching between forms as its HP depletes. Below 50% HP, it will transform into its Complete Form.

Getting Eternal Flower Floette

You can obtain Eternal Flower Floette and its Floettite Mega Stone after winning 15 Reward Battles in the Infinite Z-A Royale. You can find Taunie and Floette at Quasartico Inc. after completing 15 battles.

Reward Battles replace Promotion Battles from the regular Z-A Royale. Instead of ranking up, these battles reward you with tickets to spend on training items!

Catching Latios
You will need to progress the main storyline of the DLC and complete Hyperspace Mission 12 and Side Mission 188 in order to catch Latios and Latias.

From there, use the Special Scan feature and visit Hyperspace Wild Zones to see if you can encounter Latios or Latias.

Do note that Latios and Latias are not shiny locked, which means that you can try soft rebooting the game until you can encounter their shiny counterparts in the game.

How to Get Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, and Keldeo

Similar to some other Legendary Pokemon, you must progress the main storyline of the DLC and complete Hyperspace Mission 12 and Side Mission 188 so that you can catch Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, and Keldeo.

From there, use the Special Scan feature and visit Hyperspace Wild Zones to see if you can encounter Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, and Keldeo.

Do note that Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion are not shiny locked, which means that you can try soft rebooting the game until you can encounter their shiny counterparts in the game.

Similar to some other Legendary Pokemon, you need to get some progress in the main storyline of the DLC and complete Hyperspace Mission 12 and Side Mission 188 in order to catch Meloetta.

The Side Mission requires you to give 999 Mega Shards to Jett, so make sure your Mega Shard supply is sufficient for this mission. After completing the mission, you'll acquire both Magearna and its Mega Stone, Magearnite.

You must finish Hyperspace Mission 12 so that you can unlock Side Mission 192: The Stealthy Shadow. Finish the mission to get a chance to battle and catch Marshadow.

Battle Zeraora

You will need to complete Hyperspace Mission 12, as well as EX1 and EX2 Side Missions featuring Diancie and Mewtwo. Both of these Side Missions can be unlocked via Mystery Gift.

You will then need to purchase Canari Bread from Racine Construction and trade it for Popping Candy with a boy located at a rooftop building in Vert Sector 3.

From there, make a Plasma-Glazed Donut with Ansha's assistance and head towards Gare de Lumiose. Enter the portal to battle Mega Zeraora and defeat it so you catch Zeraora and claim the Zeraorite.

Catching Meltan

You will need to complete Hyperspace Mission 12 so that you can unlock Side Mission 193: Dreams of Meltan. Complete the mission to get a Meltan and evolve it into Melmetal.
