A Challenge from Froakie is a side mission from Surv, who can be found in Jaune Sector 8. Surv can be found by the scaffolding course near the Pokemon Center.

  1. Clear the First Course in 30 Seconds
  2. Clear the Second Course in 40 Seconds
  3. Clear the Third Course in 50 Seconds

Clear the First Course in 30 Seconds

Froakie Puzzle 1

After speaking to Surv, you will be able to take on the first scaffolding course. You will be given 30 seconds to reach the end of the course where Froakie is.

To complete the first challenge, head straight toward the ladder. When you reach the dead end, roll down to the platform below and aim for the barricade to avoid falling. Then climb the ladder to finish the challenge.

Clear the Second Course in 40 Seconds

Froakie Puzzle 2

After you clear the first course, Surv will move over to the next one. You will need to walk a short distance to get to the second course. Once you agree to take on the course, you will be given 40 seconds to reach the end.

The second challenge is straightforward, as you only need to walk along narrow ledges. Once you reach the last narrow path, however, you can roll forward instead of taking it to save time.

Clear the Third Course in 50 Seconds

The third course is the most difficult one to complete. You will be given 50 seconds to reach the end of the course.

Third Course Map Location
Fly to the Rouge District Pokemon Center. Head east to take on the final scaffolding course.

Roll Into the Platform Below
Climb up the ladder near the starting point. Afterwards, roll into the platform below using the Y button.

Climb Up the Ladder on the Opposite Edge of the Platform
Walk towards the opposite edge of the platform and turn right. Then, climb up the ladder.

Cross the Narrow Plank from the More Elevated Platform
Roll onto the more elevated platform below. Carefully cross the narrow plank to the other side after landing.

Roll Onto the Other Platform from the Edge of the Plank
Cross the narrow plank to the left until you reach the edge. Afterwards, roll onto the platform directly in front of the plank you are on.

Cross the Plank to Get to Froakie
Cross the plank to the platform where Froakie is on to complete the course. You will obtain rewards from Surv afterwards, and Froakie will join your team.

Second Course is Directly Across the First Course

Second Course Location
After completing the first course, you will see Surv by the second course nearby. You will only need to walk a short distance to get to the second course.

Third Course is at Northern Boulevard

Third Course Map Location
The third course is at Northern Boulevard. You may fly to the Rouge District Pokemon Center to be able to walk there faster.

Froakie

Another reward you can get from this mission is Froakie. If you want a Greninja in your team, you may want to clear this Side Mission in order to get a chance to evolve one. It also serves as your first step toward getting a Mega Greninja!
