Rank Fossil Reason
1 Old Amber
Old Amber
The game encourages trainers to use Mega Evolutions especially with the strength of Plus Moves, and battling both Rogue Mega Pokemon or other Mega Evolved Pokemon. Aerodactly is the only Fossil with a current Mega Evolution.
2 Jaw Fossil
Jaw Fossil
Tyrantrum, the second evolution, has a relatively good balance of Attack and Defense. Its dual typing gives it 4x resistance to Fire Types. Tyrantrum is also needed for Side Mission 115.
3 Sail Fossil
Sail Fossil
The Rock and Ice dual typing is 4x weak to both Fighting and Steel. The second evolution, Aurorus, also has comparatively lower defensive stats. Players however will still need an Aurorus for Side Mission 116.
