How to Unlock Goodbye, Gengar
Unlock Main Mission 39
To unlock Goodbye, Gengar, you must progress through the story until you reach Main Mission 39. You will need to speak to Vinnie and Jett after completing the main story to do this.
Complete Josee's Training
You will need to complete Side Mission 117: Josee's Training in order to unlock this mission. You may accept this mission at the Justice Dojo.
Accept Mission From Ganger

 Old Building in Bleu Sector 9 |
You may accept this mission by speaking to Ganger, who is located inside the Old Building in Bleu Sector 9. This is the same location you first visited in Main Mission 20 with the Professor Laventon painting.
You may fast travel to Cafe Soleil and head northeast to get there.
Goodbye, Gengar Walkthrough
- Defeat Gwynn in the Justice Dojo
- Head to Hotel Richissime
- Head to Vert Sector 9
- Head to Galerie de la Lune

After accepting the mission, head to the Justice Dojo to find Gwynn. There, you may speak to her to initiate a battle. You must defeat her to continue the mission.
Gwynn specializes in Ghost-type Pokemon, so it is best to use Dark-types such as Absol against her.
Head to Hotel Richissime

Warp to Hotel Richissime and meet up with Gwynn and Ganger in front of the sign. A small cutscene will play before you will need to move on to the next location.
Head to Vert Sector 9

 By the waterway |
Warp to Cafe Classe and head southeast to the waterway in Vert Sector 9. Keep in mind that you will need to use Rock Smash or other Fighting-type moves on the boulders blocking the way.

Head to Galerie de la Lune

Fast travel to the Centrico Pokemon Center and enter the gate to the shopping arcade east of it. Head to the middle of Galerie de la Lune and speak to Gwynn. This will trigger the final cutscene before the mission is completed.
After completing this mission, you may return to the the old house in Bleu Sector 9 to view some extra dialogue from Ganger.
