• Gets a major boost to its stats when Mega Evolved. • Great coverage against the Steel-types dominating the Meta. • Amazing AoE which can net you a ton of points. This build focuses on laying at the sideline and the attacking groups of enemies with Zygarde. If you can get to Complete Forme, you can mega and convert Core Enforcer into Nihil Light.
| Item | Effect / Location |

|
Effect: One of a variety of mysterious Mega Stones. When in Complete Forme and holding this stone, Zygarde will be able to Mega Evolve during battle. Location(s): • Obtained during Main Mission 37 |
The item chosen for Zygarde for this build is its Mega Stone, How to Get Zygardite Mega Stone.
How to Get Zygardite Mega Stone
| Glare | Used to Paralyze opponent's Pokemon which can be a detriment for Blizzard attackers like Glaceon. |
|---|---|
| Sludge Wave | Main damager against the overwhelming presence of Fairy-types in the current meta. |
| Core Enforcer / Nihil Light | AoE attack used to take down opponents in skirmishes. Turns into Nihil Light when Mega Evolved which will allow you to hit Fairy-types like Gardevoir and Xerneas. |
| Earth Power | Only option for a STAB Special Ground-type move. |
This set focuses on having Zygarde deal damage over a wide area to maximize the amount of Points you can get.
| Hyper Voice | Can hit most Pokemon for Neutral, but requires Zygarde to get near opponents. |
|---|---|
| Dragon Pulse | Lower wind-up than Core Enforcer, but not as good of Area of Effect. |
| Sludge Wave | Can take Fairy-types and the new Mega Chesnaught for a surprise. |
A full 252 EVs are put into Zygarde's Special Attack and HP to make it hit as hard as possible and survive to get to your Complete Forme. The extra 4 EVs are placed into Speed for quicker move cooldowns, but its negligible.
A Modest nature is preferred to help further increase Zygarde's Special Attack stat.
| Item: Life Orb | Nihil Light + 169-199 (72.5 - 85.4%) Guaranteed 2HKO |
| Item: Metagrossite | Earth Power + 230-272 (122.9 - 145.4%) Guaranteed OHKO |

This build focuses on Zygarde just using a Life Orb and relying on Plus Moves. This build is the same as the Mega Zygarde build, but requires more careful maneuvering due to its frailness combines with Life Orb chip damage.
| Item | Effect / Location |
|---|---|
|
|
Effect: An item to be held by a Pokemon. It boosts the power of the holder's moves, but the holder also loses a small amount of HP upon landing an attack. Location(s): • Purchased at Racine Construction (₽ 4980) • Reward from Side Mission 85 |
The item chosen for Zygarde for this build is the Life Orb. This will allow Zygarde to go beyond the damage of what its Mega can do.
Life Orb: How to Get and How to Use
| Thousand Arrows | One of Zygarde's Signature moves that can hit Flying types like Gyarados, Skarmory, and Talonflame. |
|---|---|
| Stone Edge | Another attack to take down the Flying-types. |
| Iron Head | Used to hit Fairy-types like Gardevoir and Xerneas. |
| Outrage | A fast STAB Physical Dragon-type move. The Confusion doesn't matter due to it making your Pokemon move sporadically rather than attacking itself. |
This set focuses on having Zygarde deal damage over a wide area to maximize the amount of Points you can get.
| Dig | Meant more for taking down Single-target enemies. Can also evade enemies attacks if timed right. |
|---|---|
| Thousand Waves | Can replace Thousand Arrows and trap enemies so you can score points. |
| Outrage | Faster Physical Dragon-type move compared to Outrage. |
| Zen Headbutt | Not commonly ran due to Psychic not being much of a threat meta-wise, but can find some niche uses. |
A full 252 EVs are put into Zygarde's Physical Attack and HP to make it hit as hard as possible and survive to get to your Complete Forme. The extra 4 EVs are placed into Speed for quicker move cooldowns, but its negligible.
An Adamant nature is preferred to help further increase Zygarde's Attack stat.
| Item: Skarmorite | Thousand Arrows + 103-122 (59.8 - 70.9%) Guaranteed 2HKO |
| Item: Life Orb | Iron Head + 140-166 (60 - 71.2%) Guaranteed 2HKO |
Zygarde has a glaring 4x Weakness to Ice, meaning that it will be very easy to knock out if opponent has the right counter.
Try to position Zygarde in spots where it can get quick untraded knockouts to maximize the value of its offensive potential.
10% Zygarde has a pretty high Speed stat, allowing it to move faster, and have faster cooldowns on their moves.
Always move around the arena and wait for an opportunity to punish opponents or steal kills, allowing you to score points with ease!
Use a hyper-offense team that has Pokemon that can complement Zygarde's offensive pressure.
