Rogue Mega Slowbro Strategy Guide
| Psybeam → Psyshock → Confusion → Zen Headbutt |
This is a simple rotation utilizing four attacking moves. You want to use Psybeam and Psyshock whenever available, and keep your damage up with Confusion and Zen Headbutt whenever needed.
This fight has a necessity for mega evolved Pokemon in particular, due to Mega Hawlucha's charged attack. During the charging state, players will need to hit Mega Hawlucha with a barrage of Plus Moves.
| Rogue Mega Hawlucha Battle Tips |
|---|
|
|
| Mega Hawlucha winds up, before unleashing a blast that travels in a straight line. |
This move is easy to anticipate due to its brief wind-up period. You can dodge this by either rolling away or running to the side if you have enough time and distance.
| Mega Hawlucha quickly swipes down at the target. |
Players need to back up whenever Mega Hawlucha prepares to use Brick Break. This is a dangerous move that can break barriers from moves such as Light Screen and Reflect.
| Mega Hawlucha runs to the target, and swipes twice. |
Aerial Ace is a move known to never miss. To mitigate the effects, you want to be the one to tank the hit to prevent your Pokemon from taking unnecessary damage.
With precise timing, players can bait Mega Hawlucha when it performs Aerial Ace and quickly roll backwards to avoid it. There is a brief moment after Hawlucha runs up to you. Roll away just before it attacks.
| Mega Hawlucha charges, and soars into the air. After a brief delay, Mega Hawlucha crashes into the center of the stadium, damaging everyone. |
You can prevent Mega Hawlucha's inescapable AoE by using Plus Moves while it's charging. This means either Mega Evolving your Pokemon, or infusing Mega energy to your Pokemon's regular moves if your gauge isn't full.
If you are unable to stop Mega Hawlucha from charging up, return your Pokemon into their Poke Balls to prevent them from taking damage. You will still get hurt by the hit, but damage can heal over time for the trainer, whereas Pokemon will need to use healing items to recover.

The Hawlucha Mega Battle can be encountered at Magenta Sector 3 on the Rooftops when you unlock Main Mission 17: A Rogue Mega Hawlucha. Rogue Mega Pokemon are indicated by a glowing pink aura surrounding the Pokemon.

After talking to Vinnie in Quasartico Inc. during Main MIssion 41: The One That Takes, you can rechallenge Rogue Mega Hawlucha in a simulation. Unlike the original Rogue Mega Battle, you will be facing Mega Hawlucha solo with no help from your allies.

After defeating the Rogue Mega Hawlucha, you will receive the Hawluchanite Mega Stone as a reward. The Hawluchanite allows you to Mega Evolve your own Hawlucha in your team.
