Defeat Canari During Main Mission 19

Defeat Canari
To unlock Numel Frozen Solid, you will need to progress through the story until you reach the point in Main Mission 19 where you'll need to defeat Canari. Once that's done, this Side Mission will be unlocked.

Use a 90+ Power Fire-Type Move

Using a Move Below 90 Power
You will need a Fire-type move with at least 90 Power to thaw Numel out. Using a weaker move will cause Gelli to tell you that it will not work.

You may use a Pokemon that knows the move Flamethrower by level up. If you do not have one, you may progress through the story until you unlock the Lumiose Sewers. There, you can catch a Litwick that already knows the move.
