Let's Golden Goooooo! appears in Lumiose City after you explored Hyperspace Lumiose once in the main story. This means completing Side Mission 120, and progressing Hyperspace Mission 1.

Head northwest from the Centrico Pokemon Center until you've reached a man called Thelo with a Gimmighoul beside him. Talk to Thelo so that you can begin the side mission.

  2. Show Gholdengo to Thelo

Collect 999 Gimmighoul Coins

Thelo

After accepting the request from Thelo, he'll give you his Gimmighoul as well as 413 Gimmighoul Coins he managed to collect in Paldea. From there, you'll need to farm more Gimmighoul Coins until you've reached the 999 amount.

Collect Gimmighoul Coins in Hyperspace Zones

Hyperspace Wild Zone Map

Gimmighoul Coins can usually be collected as Sparkling Items in Hyperspace Zones. Make it a point to collect Sparkling Items when traversing zones so that you'll earn enough to complete the side mission.

Show Gholdengo to Thelo

Gholdengo

Once you've evolved Gimmighoul into Gholdengo, go back to Thelo so that you can bregrudingly give him the Gholdengo you've worked so hard to evolve.

The Gholdengo you show him doesn't necessarily have to be the Gimmighoul he gave you earlier, meaning he's satisfied with any Gholdengo so long as he sees one without working the effort for it.

You Can Choose to Give or Keep Gholdengo

You will be given two dialogue options, which are 'Sure, you can have it' or 'Wait, wait-what?' dialogue options.

The 'Sure, you can have it' option will result to you giving your hard-earned Gholdengo to Theo, while the 'Wait, wait-what?' option lets you keep the Gholdengo for yourself.

After you've picked either of the two choices, you will now complete the side mission and earn your rewards.
