How to Unlock Shine Bright Like a Gemstone
Receive the Shine Bright like a Gemstone Mystery Gift via the Internet
Players can receive the Diancite through the internet via Mystery Gift starting from November 6, 2025. This item is required to trigger the Side Mission, Shine Bright Like a Gemstone. Note that this Side Mission will not be unlocked until after you have finished the game.
Note that trainers cannot obtain the Diancite through regular playthrough and they can only have one type of each Mega Stone per save file.
How to Get Diancite Mystery Gift
Accept Mission From Mimi

Once you have the Diancite in your inventory, visit the Looker Bureau in the Rouge District. Interact with Mimi and she will react to your new Mega Stone, Mimi will excitedly run out of the Bureau prompting you and Emma to chase after her.
Shine Bright Like a Gemstone Walkthrough
- Follow Mimi Towards Autumnal Avenue
- Go Northwest Along Autumnal Avenue towards Quasartico Inc.
- Head to the Holovator Near Magenta Avenue's Pokemon Center
- Find and Catch Diancie on one of Magenta Sector 8's Rooftops
Follow Mimi Towards Autumnal Avenue
From the Looker Bureau, head south towards Rouge Plaza, then run past the Holovator near Wild Zone 3 before turning right. Mimi and Emma will be waiting just by the intersection into Autumnal Avenue.
Go Northwest Along Autumnal Avenue towards Quasartico Inc.
Mimi will then move towards the food stalls just outside Quasartico Inc. It's only a short walk away but you can fast travel if you'd like.
Head to the Holovator Near Magenta Avenue's Pokemon Center
Mimi and Emma will then run through Magenta Sector 8 and will be waiting for you by the Holovator near the Magenta Pokemon Center. Emma explains that Mimi is sensing the Pokemon tied to your Mega Stone in the rooftops above.
Find and Catch Diancie on one of Magenta Sector 8's Rooftops
Take the Holovator up and jump across the rooftops and across some webbing to reach where Mimi and Emma are. After a short dialogue, a Lv. 70 Diancie will appear alongside two Carbink. Emma will ask you to catch this Diancie.
Feel free to take multiple attempts! Even if you fail to catch it by accidentally knocking it out, you will be allowed more chances to try. Once caught, Emma will encourage you to continue building strong bonds with Pokemon and will mark the end of the request.

Diancie
The Diancie you capture will be Lv. 70 with a random nature and 3 random Perfect IVs. It will know the moves Stealth Rock, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, and its signature move Diamond Storm.
