When accepting missions for Rogue Mega Battles, we recommend tackling them in the order above.
One of the requirements to completing a Rogue Mega Battle is to have a Pokemon that can Mega Evolve. Following the order guarantees that you will always have a Mega Pokemon with a type advantage in your team.
To illustrate this, after defeating Rogue Mega Absol, you will gain an Absolite which allows you to Mega Evolve your own Absol in battle. Since Absol is a Dark-type Pokemon, it will have an advantage against Rogue Mega Slowbro, who is a Psychic/Water type.
When you obtain Mega Slowbro's Mega Stone, you can use Mega Slowbro against Mega Camerupt, who is a Fire-type, who can then face Victreebel, and so on and so forth.

Once your gauge is full from collecting Mega Orbs, players will be able to Mega Evolve their Pokemon during a Rogue Mega battle. While Mega Evolved, their Pokemon's moves will be automatically enhanced. This, combined with larger stat pools, offers players a bigger advantage and higher overall damage during Rogue Mega Battles.
Keep in mind that the Mega Evolution state is on a timer, and Pokemon will revert back to their original form when the timer runs out.

Build your Pokemon Team around Pokemon that have a type advantage against the Rogue Mega Pokemon. When a Pokemon gets hit in their weakness, the attack deals double the damage.

Pokemon who cannot Mega Evolve can still benefit from collecting Mega Orbs. Instead of a Mega Evolution, Pokemon can use Plus Moves, which are more upgraded versions of their usual moveset.
Any Pokemon, even Mega Pokemon, can use Plus Moves. However, using them will consume the Mega Orb gauge, which may delay Mega Evolving your Pokemon.

Rogue Mega Pokemon cover large areas when releasing their attacks so it it important to have a variety of moves to counter this. Keep an eye out for their attack patterns to see which attack would work best.

If the trainer gets hit too many times, they will get knocked out, and you will have to retry the battle. Keep your trainer moving and out of the range of Pokemon attacks. You can press Y to dodge out of the way.

While you're battling Rogue Mega Pokemon, attacking them will cause them to drop Mega Orbs. Collecting these orbs charge up a gauge that allow players to Mega Evolve their own Pokemon, or enhance their moves.

Similar to normal trainer battles, cooldowns are an important part of strategy. With Rogue Mega Pokemon, it is important to time your attacks so that you don't leave you and your Pokemon vulnerable.
Each Rogue Mega Pokemon you encounter will have their own special attack that can affect a large area of the battle field. Watch out for these attacks and try to look out for their telegraphs to predict when they're coming.

After completing all your Main Missions, you can rechallenge any Rogue Mega Battle at Quasartico Inc. by talking to Vinnie.
When you rechallenge a Rogue Mega Pokemon, you will be battling them at Level 70. Unlike their Main Mission encounters, you will also be fighting them solo without your allies.
Vinnie will also track the time it takes for you to clear the battle, making it a fun challenge to keep beating your own records!

Trainers will encounter Rogue Mega Pokemon as a part of the story in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Unlike other Mega Pokemon that need a Mega Ring to evolve, Rogue Mega Pokemon are wild Pokemon that Mega Evolve without a trainer.
Alongside other members of Team MZ, trainers will try to stop these Pokemon from tearing through the city and get to the bottom of why these wild Pokemon are Mega Evolving in the first place.

Rogue Mega Pokemon are much stronger than regular Wild Pokemon, as denoted by the HP bar at the top of the screen, as well as the overall buffs from Mega Evolving. Luckily, you do not have to face them alone.
When you enter a Rogue Mega Battle, you are often accompanied by an ally from Team MZ to help take them down.

Rogue Mega Pokemon Battles are unlocked by accepting their Main Missions and progressing the story. They cannot be found in the wild like other Pokemon.
As a note, not all Pokemon have Rogue Megas. This is because Mega Evolutions are only available to certain Pokemon, meaning that only Pokemon that Mega Evolve can experience a Rogue Mega Evolution.
