Beat Rogue Mega Pokemon

Beat Rogue Pokemon for their Mega Stone

If you beat a Rogue Mega Pokemon, you will receive their Mega Stone. Prepare to take them down so you can take their power!

Buy Them in Stone Emporium

Buy Evolutionary Stones in the Stone Emporium

You can buy Mega Stones in the Stone Emporium. It also has other Evolution-related items.

Trade Mega Shards in Quasartico Inc.

Trade Mega Shards in Quasartico Inc headquarters.png

Another way to get Mega Stones is to exchange them for Mega Shards in the Quasartico Inc. headquarters. You can get Mega Shards by destroying clusters of it around the Lumiose City.

How to Find Mega Shards

Limited to One Type of Each Mega Stone

Players can have only one type of each unique Mega Stone per save file and trainers cannot trade them away or receive them by trading a Pokemon that is holding the Mega Stone.

How to Use Mega Stones

Equip It to Your Pokemon

Pokemon Z-A - Equip Pokemon Item

Mega Stones are held items that must be equipped to your Pokemon to enable their Mega Evolution.

Press Right Stick at Full Mega Power

Mega Evolve by pressing Right Analog Stick

When your Mega Power ring is full, you can press the Right Analog Stick to Mega Evolve your Pokemon. It will remain in their Mega Evolved form until they run out of Mega Power.

Mega Power Can Be Refilled

You can Mega Evolve an unlimited amount of times during a battle. Your Pokemon just needs a fully filled bar of Mega Power.
