How to Reroll Encounters
Leave and Enter Areas

 Leave the Area If you want to reroll Pokemon encounters, you must first leave the area where encounters occur, which are Wild Zones. |
| 2 |
 Enter the Area Enter the Wild Zone again and the Pokemon in the area are now reset. |
Each time you exit and re-enter a Wild Zone, the Pokemon in the area reset and are completely new, which allows you to get rare Pokemon.
Use Fast Travel
Alternatively, you can also Fast Travel to Wild Zones as this counts as exiting and re-entering an area as well.
Reset the Time With Benches
You can also reroll encounters by resting on benches, as this changes the time and resets the Pokemon in the area. If there are benches in the area where you're rerolling, using them can save you time compared to using fast travel.
How to Change Time To Night or Day
Why Reroll Encounters?
Shiny Pokemon
The most common reason to reroll encounters is to hunt for Shiny Pokemon. With a 1/4096 to encounter one, Trainers search far and wide to find these rare Pokemon variants of a different color.
Rare Pokemon
Additionally, some Pokemon are rare and only appear in specific areas or during specific times, and rerolling your encounters can help you find these Pokemon more frequently.
Alpha Pokemon
Finally, new variants of Pokemon called Alpha Pokemon appear in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which are bigger than normal Pokemon and have a higher HP stat and exclusive Moves. If you're looking for specific Alpha Pokemon to appear, then rerolling encounters is your best bet.
