How to Unlock Chasing Status
Complete the Canari Quiz Whiz Contest
To unlock Chasing Status, you will need to progress through the story until you reach the part in Main Mission 14 where you complete the Canari Quiz Whiz Contest. Once that's been done, this Side Mission will be unlocked.
Accept Mission From Maxen and Deb

You can accept this quest from Maxen and Deb, who are located just west from Wild Zone 7. They're also down the street from the Electrical Substation, where the contest was held, so you can either walk or fast travel over there.
Chasing Status Walkthrough
Prepare a Pokemon with Haze
The gimmick for these two fights is that the opponents will use stat-altering moves to get an edge in battle. Before you go into each battle, it's recommended to lead with a Pokemon that has Haze, so that you can set up an area that reverts any stat changes once entered.
Besides having a Haze user, like Vaporeon, Arbok, or Gengar, you'll also want a Psychic-type, like Delphox or Meowstic, since all the Pokemon you'll face will be weak to their STAB attacks.
Haze Effect and Pokemon That Learn It
Defeat Maxen and his Fighting-Types

At the start of this fight, you'll want to set up Haze on the enemy so that they cannot buff their own stats. After that, swap over to your Psychic Pokemon so that you can quickly defeat Maxen.
Defeat Deb and her Poison-Types

Similar to the last fight, you'll want to set up Haze and swap to a Psychic-type Pokemon to knock out your enemies. However, this time around, they will try to drop your stats, so you'll be the one who wants to stand in the Haze instead.

Aside from the monetary reward of 2,500 Poke Dollars, you will also receive 3 bottles of Protein and Calcium, which raise your Pokemon's Attack and Sp Atk EVs, respectively. Also, you'll get a Power Bracer as well, which is a held item that increases Attack EVs gained, at the cost of lowering the holder's Speed.
