| Pokemon | Best Moves and Explanation |
|---|---|
Mega Gardevoir
|
Best Moves: ・ Moonblast ・ Draining Kiss ・ Reflect (TM 031) ・ Protect (TM 017) Mega Gardevoir boasts STAB Moonblast that allows it to deal super effective damage to both Pangoro and Malamar. While it needs to be wary of coverage moves, it has semi-reliable recovery in Draining Kiss and can set up Reflect to boost its Defense. |
Mega Camerupt
|
Best Moves: ・ Earth Power (TM 052) ・ Lava Plume ・ Protect (TM 017) ・ Earthquake (TM 069) Mega Camerupt boasts STAB Earth Power and Earthquake, allowing it to deal super effective damage to Grisham's Pyroar, Tyranitar, and Mega Charizard X. It's Fire-typing and natural bulk also allows it to shrug off Mega Charizard X's Flare Blitz. |
We recommend raising the level of your Pokemon to at least Level 65. Grisham's Mega Charizard X is Level 63 so it's best to have your Pokemon a few levels higher so they have a better chance withstanding repeated attacks froms his Pokemon.
EXP Farming Guide: How to Level Up Fast
Camerupt's dual Fire and Ground-typing allows it to counter three of Grisham's Pokemon, dealing super effective damage to Pyroar, Tyranitar, and Mega Charizard X with its STAB Earth Power.
Although you'll have to be wary of Pyroar and Tyranitar's Ground-type coverage moves, Mega Camerupt has enough natural bulk to shrug them off and retaliate with its strong Ground-type STAB.

Grisham is fought during Story Mission 35: Reaching Rank A. You'll need to explore Lysandre Labs in the rundown Lysandre Cafe and read all four Team Flare Files in the main room.
You'll then need to earn a total of 45,000 Ticket Points to get the Challenge Ticket to fight Grisham in a Promotion Match.

Grisham is located in his food truck at Nouveau Cafe slightly southeast of Prism Tower in the center of the city.
You'll need to consult Emma and then Mable for a lead on Grisham's identity, then agree to explore Lysandre Labs and read the Team Flare files inside to challenge him to the Promotion Match.

Defeating Grisham in the Promotion Match will get you promoted to Rank A, and he'll also reward you the TM for the move Flare Blitz.
