Mega Gardevoir
|
Best Moves: ・ Moonblast ・ Psychic (TM 063) ・ Calm Mind (TM 006) ・ Protect (TM 017) Mega Gardevoir's 4x Resistance to Fighting-type moves coupled with STAB Fairy-type Moves makes it the best Pokemon to use against Ivor. Mega Gardevoir can comfortably take on all of Ivor's Pokemon and hit back with STAB super effective Moonblast. Ivor's Pokemon notably lacks any coverage moves against Gardevoir, but you should still teach it Protect so it can block strong attacks and keep its HP up during the fight. |
Aegislash (Shield Forme)
|
Best Moves: ・ Iron Head (TM 058) ・ Shadow Claw (TM 061) ・ Psycho Cut ・ King’s Shield Aegislash is a great partner to Mega Gardevoir as it's immune to Fighting-type moves and can resist most of Ivor's coverage moves. It just needs to watch out for Machamp's Brutal Swing, but its high Defense mean it can shrug off even this super effective attack and hit back with a super effective Psycho Cut. Aegislash also has access to King's Shield which not only completely blocks an attack, it also lowers the opposing Pokemon's Attack! |
We recommened raising the level of your Pokemon to at least Level 50. Ivor's Mega Falinks is Level 47 so it's best to have your Pokemon a few levels higher so they have a better chance withstanding repeated attacks from her Pokemon.
EXP Farming Guide: How to Level Up Fast
Mega Gardevoir is the best Pokemon to use against Ivor's team as he notably lacks any coverage move to use against Gardevoir's dual Psychic and Fairy-typing. Gardevoir's 4x resistance to Fighting-type moves allows it to tank all attacks from Ivor's Pokemon and retaliate with STAB super effective Moonblast.
Aegislash makes a great partner for Mega Gardevoir as it's immune to Fighting-type moves and boasts very high defenses that it can shrug off even a super effective Brutal Swing from Machamp. It can then hit back with a super effective Psycho Cut and lower the opposing Pokemon's Attack with King's Shield.
| Note: You can get a free Ralts with Gardevoirite through the Mystery Gift system until February 28, 2026! |

Ivor is fought during Story Mission 19: Reaching Rank D. After earning 35,000 Ticket Points to get a Challenger's Ticket, you'll then have to explore the Lumiose City Sewers so that you can challenge Ivor at the Justice Dojo.

Icor is located at the Justice Dojo in the Jaune District, and is accessed during Mission 19.

Defeating Ivor in the Promotion Match will get you promoted to Rank D, and he'll also reward you the TM for the move Bulk Up.
