| Pokemon | Best Moves and Explanation |
|---|---|
Starmie
|
Best Moves: ・ Psychic (TM 063) ・ Psyshock (TM 003) ・ Thunderbolt (TM 067) ・ Protect (TM 017) Starmie's Psychic-type STAB and coverage moves allow it to comfortably take on all of Corbeau's Pokemon, dealing super effective damage to Arbok, Roserade, and Mega Scolipede with Psychic or Psyshock, and taking care of Gyarados with Thunderbolt. All of Corbeau's Pokemon however have coverage moves that deal super effective damage against Mega Starmie so make sure to teach it Protect so it can block the attack and retaliate with its STAB super effective moves. |
Mega Camerupt
|
Best Moves: ・ Earth Power (TM 052) ・ Lava Plume ・ Earthquake (TM 069) ・ Protect (TM 017) Mega Camrupt is a great partner to pair with Starmie and can easily take on Corbeau's Arbok and Roserade with ease thanks to its STAB Earth Power and Lava Plume respectively. Though it struggles a bit when fighting Mega Scolipede due to Earthquake, it has enough bulk to withstand an attack and retaliate with a STAB Lava Plume. |
We recommend raising the level of your Pokemon to at least Level 55. Corbeau's Mega Scolipede is Level 52 so it's best to have your Pokemon a few levels higher so they have a better chance withstanding repeated attacks froms his Pokemon.
EXP Farming Guide: How to Level Up Fast
Starmie can easily take on all of Corbeau's Pokemon thanks to its STAB Psychic-type moves, as well as Thunderbolt for coverage to handle Gyarados. Similarly. Mega Camerupt can take on Arbok, Roserade, and Mega Scolipede and deal super effective damage with STAB Earth Power and Lava Plume respectively.
All of Corbeau's Pokemon have coverage moves that can potentially deal high damage to both Starmie and Mega Camerupt so make sure you have both of them learn Protect and alternate between the two to conserve their HP throughout the fight!
As alternatives, you can also use Steel-type Pokemon as they negate Poison-type moves, which makes most of Corbeau's kit. Just don't forget to switch out your Steel Pokemon when fighting against Corbeau's Gyarados as Steel-types are weak to Water-type moves like its Waterfall!

Corbeau is fought during Story Mission 24: Reaching Rank C. You'll need to earn a total of 38,000 Ticket Points to get a Challenge Ticket to fight Corbeau in a Promotion Match.

Corbeau is located in the Rust Syndicate Office in the Bleau District and is accessed during Mission 24.

Defeating Corbeau in the Promotion Match will get you promoted to Rank D, and he'll also reward you the TM for the move Gunk Shot.
