Holovators and ladders grant access to rooftops that are otherwise unreachable in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. See a map of all the Holovator and ladder locations and how to fix the red inactive Holovators.

Lumiose City Holovator and Ladder Map
There are 23 Holovators and 165 ladders scattered across Lumiose City. While Holovators are exclusively attached to building walls, ladders can also be found in scaffolding. These devices help you reach rooftops that may contain rare Pokemon, hidden TMs, or Colorful Screws.

Red Holovators remain locked until you complete specific Side Missions given by NPCs close to the Holovator's location.
Progress Through the Story for More Holovator Side Missions
Not all Side Missions required to unlock Holovators are available from the beginning. More missions become accessible as you progress through the Main Mission.
How to Use Holovators and Ladders
Press the A Button
Holovators and ladders can both be activated by pressing the A Button. While Holovators automatically transport you, ladders require manual climbing using the left stick.
No Need to Worry About Falling
When navigating Lumiose City's rooftops via Holovators or ladders, there's no risk of fall damage. You can freely drop down and your Rotom Phone will automatically catch you, ensuring a safe landing every time.
