A good spot to hunt Shiny Patrat is at Wild Zone 2 at Vert District, southeast of Lumiose City.

Other Shiny Pokemon that may spawn are Budew, Magikarp, Staryu, Shuppet, Gastly, and Trubbish.

How to Shiny Hunt

Wild Zone 2 Location
Fast travel to Wild Zone 2, which teleports you to the south entrance of the Wild Zone.
② Then, go inside the Wild Zone and head to the middle island, where Patrat usually spawns. If a Shiny Pokemon is spotted, save your game first before trying to catch it.

If there is no Shiny Pokemon present, keep fast-travelling back to Wild Zone 2. You can also peek at the entrance of the Wild Zone without going in to check if there is a Shiny Pokemon, if you can.

An alternative spot to hunt Shiny Patrat is at Lumiose Sewers and its entrance is over at Magenta District, northwest of Lumiose City.

Other Shiny Pokemon that may spawn are Inkay, Goomy, Klefki, Litwick, and Noibat.

How to Shiny Hunt

How to Get to the Sewers 1
Fast travel to Cafe Woof in Bleu Sector 3 and head to the center in between the buildings. You should see a lady with an Audino to one side.

Remember to bring a Pokemon that knows a Water type move or Confusion because you will need to clear purple grime obstructions.

How to Get to the Sewers 2
Beside them you will find a path. Head down it and take the path to the left.

How to Get to the Sewers 3
Clear out the purple grimes and continue forward until you see a tunnel.

How to Get to the Sewers 4
Inside the tunnel, take another left then another left. Here, you'll encounter Herup, who offers a Side Mission you'd have to accept to gain access back into the Lumiose Sewers through the gate he's standing in front of.

How to Get Patrat in Lumiose Sewers
Once inside the Lumiose Sewers, follow the path and head towards the nearest room towards the northeast from where you spawned.
⑥ If a Shiny Pokemon is spotted, save your game first before trying to catch it.

If there is no Shiny Pokemon, repeatedly fast travel back to the Lumiose Sewers.

Once you see a Shiny Patrat, they will not despawn if you don't interact with them. However, some Pokemon may get nervous and flee, which does despawn them, so you should save your game before you attempt to catch the Shiny
