How to Get Shiny Latios

Find Latios at the Special Scan Hyperspace Wild Zones

Latios can be found in Hyperspace Wild Zones that are detected via a special scan. You can run a special scan from Philippe at the Rust Syndicate.

You need to earn 25,000 Hyperspace Survey Points to run a scan, which you can get from completing tasks while inside Hyperspace Wild Zones.

Once you enter a Hyperspace Wild Zone that is detected via a special scan, you will receive a notification from Mable in your Rotom phone to inform you whether the zone contains Latios.

Shiny Latios Location

Latios Step 1
From the portal, follow the street on the right where you can spot Noibat and Noivern.

Latios Step 2
Turn left when you see an archway.

Latios Step 3
Climb the ladder on the right and go left to where the Hawlucha are.

Latios Step 4
Walk to the left towards the Holovator which teleports you to an area with Swablu and an Altaria.

Latios Step 5
Cross the bridge and climb the ladder, then follow the path ahead until you reach another Holovator.

Latios Holovator Hard Save Point
Once you reach this Holovator, make a hard save at this location.

Latios Step 6
Hop on the Holovator and check if the Latios is a shiny.

If it is a Shiny Latios , save your game first then catch the Shiny Pokemon.

If it is not a Shiny Latios, close the game and reopen it. Save your game while you are at the the bottom of the Holovator and teleport to the rooftop to check if Latios spawns as a shiny.

Shiny Latios Hunting Tips

Make a Donut with Level 3 Sparkling Power: Psychic

Make sure to create a donut that has Sparkling Power: Psychic (Lv. 3). This increases the chances of obtaining a Shiny Latios when combined with the Shiny Charm.

Use a Hyper Haban Berry to get the highest chance of rolling Sparkling Power and Encounter Power. Both effects are useful for shiny hunting due to it increasing the spawns.

Save Before Attempting to Capture Shiny Pokemon

Can Shiny Pokemon Flee

Once you see a Shiny Latios, they will not despawn if you don't interact with them. However, some Pokemon may get nervous and flee, which does despawn them, so you should save your game before you attempt to catch the Shiny Pokemon.
