The best spot to hunt Shiny Skarmory is at Wild Zone 17 at Vert Sector 7, available after finishing Main Mission 24 and reaching Rank C.

Players can encounter a Shiny Lampent, Pyroar, Mawile, and Klefki in the area as well when attempting to hunt for a Shiny Skarmory.

How to Shiny Hunt (Bench Method)

Wild Zone 17 Map Location
Fast travel to Wild Zone 17 to spawn a Skarmory.

When attempting to Shiny Hunt multiple Pokemon, note to set the time to night for Shiny Lampent or the day for a Shiny Klefki.

Wild Zone 17 Bench
Rest at the bench near the pride of Pyroars to reset the encounter until a Shiny Skarmory spawns.

Note that Shiny Pokemon do not disappear when spawned. Players can repeatedly rest at the bench without risking missing the Shiny.
③ After spawning the Shiny Skarmory, leave by the northern entrance. Attempting to catch the Shiny Skarmory as is risks getting attacked by the pride of Pyroars.

How to Manually Save
Save the game after leaving the Wild Zone. This acts as a failsafe in case players fail to capture or accidentally eliminate the Shiny Skarmory, despawning itself.

Return to Wild Zone 17 and guide the Shiny Skarmory to the roof by the northern ladder. This allows it to land and be an easier target for Moves.

Note to take care of the nearby Klefki, Lampent, and Alpha Mawile. When engaging them in battle, use Ground-Type Moves to avoid eliminating the Shiny Skarmory.

Avoid engaging the Shiny Skarmory on the ground. The Pyroars can spam Earth Power, greatly increasing the difficulty of the hunt.
⑥ When failing to capture Shiny Skarmory, immediately return to HOME and exit the game. Reloading the game will allow players to reset at step 4 unless an autosave occurs.

How to Shiny Hunt (Round-Trip Method)

Fast travel to Wild Zone 17 to spawn a Skarmory.

Exit Through the Northern Entrance
After arriving at Wild Zone 17, exit through the northern entrance.

Upon exit, cross the bridge and turn right, then hug the building on your left. Upon reaching the door, return to Wild Zone 17.

Check if Skarmory is a Shiny
Upon returning to Wild Zone 17, check if the Skarmory respawned as a Shiny.

Avoid Engaging On the Ground

Avoid Capturing Shiny Skarmory On the Ground

It is recommended to avoid attempting to capture the Shiny Skarmory on the ground, near the pride of Pyroars. This group can spam Earth Power, with the Alpha Pyroar occasionally using Wild Charge while boasting its high HP, raising the difficulty of the hunt.

Instead, climb up the ladder near the northern entrance and guide the Shiny Skarmory on the rooftop. Use Ground-Type Moves to eliminate the nearby Klefki or Lampent and Alpha Mawile to avoid defeating the Shiny Skarmory.
