How to Unlock A Berry Clever Plan
Progress to Main Mission 08
To unlock A Berry Clever Plan, you will first need to progress the story until you reach Main Mission 08, Reaching Rank V. Once you've defeated Lida and are free to roam Lumiose City, you can go and accept this Side Mission.

A Berry Clever Plan is a side mission from Ticien, who can be found in Jaune Sector 12. He can be found in the battle court inside Wild Zone 6.
A Berry Clever Plan Walkthrough
Defeat Ticien
After accepting the mission, you may speak to Ticien again to initiate a battle. He will use a Swablu and a Meditite, which are both holding an Oran Berry each.
You may equip your own Pokemon with Oran or Sitrus Berries to match Ticien's Pokemon in HP. Keep in mind that Sitrus Berries will provide more healing.
Use Electric and Flying-Type Pokemon
You may use Pokemon with type advantages against your opponents for an easier battle.
For Swablu, you may use Electric-types such as Flaaffy and Pikachu. On the other hand, Flying-types such as Pidgeotto and Fletchinder can be good against Meditite.
