A Shiny Houndoom has blue-gray fur instead of black. It's body is also colored light yellow than a shade of orange.

The best spot to hunt Shiny Alpha Houndoom is near a bench in front of a battle court in Wild Zone 6.

Players can also hunt for a Shiny Alpha Houndour, Meditite, and Alpha Pikachu while trying to get a Shiny Houndoom encounter.

How to Shiny Hunt

Wild Zone 6 Step 1
Fast travel to Wild Zone 6.

Wild Zone 6 Step 2
Head to the other end of Wild Zone 6, which is near Cafe Bataille.

Wild Zone 6 Step 3
Rest on the bench found in front of the battle court and near where Alpha Houndoom is.

Rest on the bench repeatedly to reset the encounters. Note that Shiny Pokemon do not disappear once it spawns, hence, players do not need to check every time they rest.

Wild Zone 6 Step 4
After resting a few times, check if there's a blue Houndoom nearby. If not, return to the bench and rest repeatedly again.
⑤ If a Shiny Houndoom appears, save the game (or run away if you are being attacked) and try to catch the Shiny.

Take care not to eliminate the Shiny Houndoom in the process. While a Shiny does not disappear once spawned, it will despawn when defeated without capturing it, resetting its status.

If players eliminated the Shiny Houndoom by accident, immediately return to HOME and exit the game.

Lysandre Labs can also be used to Shiny hunt for Houndoom, as the teleporter near the entrance can be used to reroll encounters.

Players can also hunt for a Houndour and Noivern in this area.

How to Shiny Hunt

Lysandre Labs Step 1
Head to Lysandre Labs.

Follow the corridor to the left which leads to the green rooms.

Repeatedly use the teleporter to reroll the nearby Pokemon until a Shiny appears.

Note that Shiny Pokemon do not disappear when spawned. Players can repeatedly rest at the bench without risking missing the Shiny.

Checking Houndour and Houndoom
If a Shiny Houndoom appears, save the game and try to catch the Shiny.

Take care not to eliminate the Shiny Houndoom in the process. While a Shiny does not disappear once spawned, it will despawn when defeated without capturing it, resetting its status.

If players eliminated the Shiny Houndoom by accident, immediately return to HOME and exit the game.
