How to Unlock A Break Time Battle
Progress to Main Mission 06
To unlock a Break Time Battle, you will need to progress the main story until you reach Main Mission 06, Reaching Rank X. This will unlock a bunch of new side missions, including this one!

You can accept this mission from Sommi, who's standing beside a deactivated Holovator just west of Wild Zone 3. If you've visited that Wild Zone already, you can fast travel there to get to the quest quickly.
A Break Time Battle Walkthrough
Defeat Sommi in a Pokemon Battle

To complete this quest, you will need to defeat Sommi in a Pokemon battle. He uses a team of Pidgey, Emolga, and Budew, so it shouldn't be too hard as long as you have a levelled-up team that isn't weak to any of these Pokemon.
Use the Heracross from Side Mission 2
This battle can be easily won by the Heracross from Side Mission 2 since Sommi's team is only around Level 8-10. As long as you've been levelling up this Pokemon, it should be strong enough to one-shot his party members, including the Flying-types it's 4x weak to.

Aside from the usual monetary reward, you also get 3 Exp. Candy S and a bottle of Fresh Water. These items can be used to grant a set amount of experience to a Pokemon or heal them, respectively.
Unlock a Holovator
Completing this side mission will also unlock the Holovator beside Sommi. This will grant you access to a new rooftop area with new Pokemon and items for you to obtain.
