You can use the Fast Travel method at night to hunt for both a Shiny Magikarp and a Shiny Staryu. You can do this by entering Wild Zone 2, Fast Traveling back to the Wild Zone, then repeating the process to reroll the Pokemon in the Wild Zone.
Alternatively, there is a Bench near the Wild Zone 2 entrance that you can use to reset the time and reroll for Shiny Pokemon, but this method will spawn fewer Shiny Pokemon.

The cracked boulders in the east side of Wild Zone 2 can be broken with Rock Smash or other phsical moves like the Rock-type move Rollout.
How to Destroy Boulders and Obstructions
Unlock Wild Zone 2 by reaching Main Mission 5. Afterwards, you'll find this Wild Zone on the Vert Plaza of the Vert Sector.
