The best spot to hunt Shiny Pumpkaboo is in Wild Zone 15 at Jaune District, available after completing Main Mission 19.

During the Shiny Hunt, players can spawn a Shiny Beedrill, Scolipede, Whirlipede, Shuppet, Haunter, Alpha Banette, and Alpha Gourgeist in the vicinity as well.

Fast travel to Wild Zone 15.

Enter the Wild Zone and turn left at the corner, then rest at the bench repeatedly. This rerolls the nearby spawn and can be performed until a Shiny Pumpkaboo appears.

How to Manually Save
Save the game after the Shiny spawns. This acts as a failsafe in case players fail to capture or accidentally eliminate the Shiny Pumpkaboo, despawning itself.
④ When failing to capture Shiny Pumpkaboo, immediately return to HOME and exit the game. Reloading the game will allow players to reset at step 3 unless an autosave occurs.
