The best spot to hunt Shiny Whirlipede is in Wild Zone 15 at Jaune District during the day, available after completing Main Mission 19.

During the Shiny Hunt, players can spawn a Shiny Beedrill, Scolipede, Haunter, Shuppet, Alpha Banette, Pumpkaboo, and Alpha Gourgeist in the vicinity as well.

Fast travel to Wild Zone 15 during the day.

Wild Zone 15 Bench
Enter the Wild Zone and turn left at the corner, then rest at the bench repeatedly. This rerolls the nearby spawn and can be performed until a Shiny Whirlipede appears.

How to Manually Save
Save the game after the Shiny spawns. This acts as a failsafe in case players fail to capture or accidentally eliminate the Shiny Whirlipede, despawning itself.
④ When failing to capture Shiny Whirlipede, immediately return to HOME and exit the game. Reloading the game will allow players to reset at step 3 unless an autosave occurs.

Once you see a Shiny Whirlipede, they will not despawn if you don't interact with them. However, some Pokemon may get nervous and flee, which does despawn them, so you should save your game before you attempt to catch the Shiny.
