Ranked Battle Season 3 in Pokemon Legends: Z-A will run from November 27 to December 18, 2025, providing the Chesnaughtite as the Ranked Reward for reaching Rank S. Read on to learn more about Ranked Battle Season 3, how to get the Chesnaughtite, the legal and banned Pokemon, and rules.

Season 3 of Ranked Battles is now live and will run from November 27 to December 18, 2025. This Ranked Battle event is currently the only way to obtain the Chesnaughtite Mega Stone so you can get Mega Chesnaught!
You can also get Safari Balls as rewards if you reach a high rank at the end of the season.

The Season 3 ruleset allows for all Pokemon in the Lumiose Pokedex from Chikorita up until Mewtwo! All regional forms of Pokemon within those Dex numbers are also allowed to participate!

Details of Legal Teams & Pokemon
- A player’s team cannot contain two Pokémon with the same Lumiose Pokedex number.
- All Pokemon will have their stats scaled to Level 50.
- Two Pokemon cannot hold the same item.
- Regional Forms of all Pokemon within Dex #001 until #231 are legal.

You can obtain the Chesnaughtite once you reach Rank S in Season 3. If you are not able to obtain the Greninjite and Delphoxite during the previous seasons, you can also get these Mega Stones upon reaching Rank V and Y, respectively.
You can also receive Mega Shards as you climb through this season's ladder.

Players who have reached certain milestones during Season 3 will receive rewards after each season ends and the results are announced and are the based on the results of your battles. Players need to finish at least one match with a win or loss during the season to be eligible for rewards.
The Safari Ball is the Poke Ball featured as one of the top rewards during this season.
Season 3 Ruleset
- You will obtain Points depending on your Rank and Actions Taken. Even if you lose, you will receive points.
- You cannot go down a rank once your tier has been raised. No matter how many times you lose, your Tier will stay the same.
- An Internet connection is required in playing Ranked Battles. You will need an Nintendo Switch Online Subscription to participate in all online activities in Pokemon including Ranked Battles.
