Octolock Away the Pain is a side mission that unlocks upon reaching Hyperspace Mission 3, after speaking to Corbeau at the Rust Syndicate headquarters.

Octolock Away the Pain! Walkthrough

  1. Capture a Clobbopus
  2. Evolve Clobbopus to Grapploct
  3. Use Octolock on Kazuki

Capture a Clobbopus

If you do not have a Clobbopus in your boxes, make sure to caputre one from a Rank 1 Hyperspace Wild Zone housing Fighting-type Pokemon. If there are none available, you can reroll them by passing time on a bench until the correct Wild Zone appears.

Note that you do not have to catch a Clobbopus if you already have one, and if you've already evolved it into a Grapploct prior to accepting this side mission.

How to Reroll Hyperspace Wild Zones

Level Up While Knowing Taunt		 GrapploctGrapploct

Once you acquire a Clobbopus, you can evolve it into a Grapploct when it reaches Level 35 and knows the move Taunt. If your Clobbopus is already above Level 35 but isn’t ready to evolve, check its learned moves and teach it Taunt with the appropriate TM disc if necessary. After that, it should be able to evolve. As with the previous step, feel free to skip this if you already have a Grapploct.

Grapploct Location, Evolution, and Stats

Use Octolock on Kazuki

Once you have a Grapploct that knows the move Octolock, which it learns upon evolving from Clobbopus, place it in your party and target Kazuki. Then, use Octolock on him. His back pain will recover after doing so, and he'll thank you and your Grapploct for the help.
