A Tune That Beckons Doom unlocks as you reach Main Mission 38: The Future of Lumiose City. This mission becomes available after the credits roll in Main Mission 37, the end of the main story.

You may accept this mission by speaking with Chante. You can find her standing to the west of Hotel Richissime.

You may speak to Chante again to initiate battle. You will have to defeat her in order to complete the Side Mission.

Her Pokemon will all use the move Perish Song. Be sure to switch your Pokemon out within 30 seconds of being hit by the move if you do not want any of them to faint.

You may use a Fairy-type to counter her first two Pokemon, and a Dark-type to counter Gengar.
