Pokemon moves are divided into 18 distinct types, from the basic Fire, Water, and Grass types to the mighty Dragon-type.

Moves can do more or less damage depending on your Pokemon's move type and the opposing Pokemon's type, so make sure to use moves that attack an opposing Pokemon's weakness!

Each moves also belongs to one of three categories: Physical, Special, and Status.

The strength of Physical moves are affected by the user's Attack stat and the opponent's Defense stat, while Special moves are affected by the user's Special Attack stat and the opponent's Special Defense stat.

Status moves have a variety of effects, such as buffs, debuffs, or inflicting status conditions.
